Reconditioned Intake Manifold 1G 4g63
Reconditioned Intake Manifolds are a great way to putting your engine together quick and clean. Most intake manifolds are full of carbon grime that adds up over 30 years. It is not fun to clean, so send ours to the machine shop to be cleaned and reconditioned.
Basic Process Includes: Oven Baking, Glass Bead Cleaning, Compressed Air Cleaning, Pressure Testing for Cracks, Machining the Intake Manifold Flange to the Head (.003"-.006"), and Final Solvent Cleaning. All Intake Ports are inspected with a optical video camera to ensure there is no stuck on carbon that could now be mixed with blast media. Using the oven method bakes off all that grease and carbon, and blasting methods removes the dry suit easily; so the ports and plentum are throughly checked when complete for remaining media.
The Flange is machined with diamond tooling to ensure the gasket seals very well on a flat and smooth surface.
These are a very nice unit when complete and really look good under the hood with the glass bead finish.
